| Field notes | Plant 1 m high. Stem dark green. Ribs 11-13, with a V-furrow over the areoles. New spines yellow or brown, getting greyish white with darker tips. Central spines a few, one distinctly longer and downward pointed. Radial spines widely spreading. Flower red. Stigma-lobes greenish. Fruit subglobose, brownish to greenish. Flesh of fruit white, savoury. |
