| Field notes | Bush or tree, to 5 m high. Stems dark green. Ribs 7-8, 1.5-2.0 cm high, about 1 cm wide. Areoles vaulty, light brown, later brown to greyish. Spines greyish white with darker tips. Fruit spiny, red. This species is not as common as Pilosocereus tweedyanus at the locality. |
