| Field notes | Bush, candelabrum-like growth, to 1 m high. Stems greyish green, 10-50 cm long and more, 4-6 cm thick. Areoles on spirally aranged protuberances, dark. Spines spreading in all directions, but not densely apressed, yellowish white with brown tips. Fruit globose to oblong, without chlorophyll. |
