| Field notes | Bush, much branched, more or less creeping, to 0.5 m high. Joints oblong-ovate, 10-35 cm long, 7-12 cm wide, 0.5-1.5 cm thick. Spines yellowish brown, pale at base, getting greyish white with brownish tips. Flower orange. Outer tepals short and thick, yellow. Inner tetals orange to yellowish orange. Style white. Stigma-lobes about 11, whitish. Filaments apparently not well-developed. |
