| Field notes | Plants erect with joints to 80 cm long or creeping with joints to 2 m long. Ribs 6-9. Flower light orange red, 6-8 cm long, covered with white hairs. Style whitish. Stigmas green. Fruit green or brownish, to 4 cm in dimeter, to 3 cm thick. |
