| Field notes | Up to 1 m high, often bending. Ribs 10-11 with a V-formed furrow over the areoles. Spines about 15, one or a few very long, up to 4 cm. Flower 6 cm long, orange red. Limb extended to 2,5 cm. Stamens violet. Style yellowish green. Stigmas 9. Fruit 3 cm in diameter, 2 cm thick, brownish green. |
