| Field notes | Plant 5 m tall growing in Acacia-scrub, 8 ribbes. Spines 10-14, 1-3 longer (up to 4 cm), white with dark points. Flowers about 8 cm long. Fruit 5 cm in dia- meter, green, later brownish, the withered flower does not seem to fall off the fruit. Seeds oblong, black. |
