| Field notes | Plant 1 m tall (in open land). Joints 20-40 cm long, very thick although they break easily and give material for new plants, dark green. Spines few, about 2, white (or dried up and dark). Flower large, widely open, 7 cm long, yellow. Fruit round, green, not ripe. |
