| Field notes | Plant until 1 m tall, 4 cm in diameter, 6-8 ribbes. Spines many, one longer (4-5 cm), plain light, new spines are lighter at the basis. Flower red with yellowish green style and violet pollen. Fruit round, green, not ripe. |
