Field notes Shrub 1 m. Inflorescence yellow. The sap is drunk after bites of the snake "curarina". Bark in water is said to be specific for snakebites of "pitalala", a 1-1.5 m long snake, yellow with dark brown mosaic, yellow beneath. The plant is said to be common in A'3nangu R'1io Napo.
