| Field notes | Clustering rotan climbing to 20 m tall; stem without sheaths 20 mm, with sheaths 35 mm diam, internodes 25 cm; sheaths green densely covered with brittle brown spines. Knee unarmed. Leaf cirrate to 2.5 m long; petiole absent; leaflets regularly arranged, scarcely pendulous. Inflorescence 80 cm with 9 partial inflorescences on each side of the achis, parsely spiny; flowers already fallen |
