Acaulescent rhizomatous apparently clustering palm with leaves scarcely exceeding 40 cm, dark green above pure white beneath; inflorescence spicate, stamens 3; fruits bright cherry red. Forming clumps up to ca 1 m diam. with leaves tending to be held more or less horizontally |
