| Field notes | Solitary stilt-rooted to 50 cm above ground, stem ca 1 m tall ca 5 cm diam. Obscured by Piassava and them 10 cm diam. 7-10 leaves in crown, young leaf liver colured; petiole 60-100 cm, rusty-scaly; 9 broad lanceolate leaflets on either side; inflorescence branched 1 order only; peduncle 35-55 cm green; rachillae 10 only; flower buds yellow, anthers white.
