| Field notes | Solitary or clustering palm Stems to 2m tall, c. lcm diam., with close internodes c. 1.5cm wide. Crown of c. 7 leaves to 80cm; sheath 25cm, green with fibrous margins; petiole 15cm, to 17 regularly arranged leaflets on each side of teh rachis. Inflorescences solitary, spicate, to 40cm long; peduncle erect, becoming arcuate. Flowers cream-cooured, peduncle scaly. Ripe fruit scarlet |
