| Field notes | Description: Clustering rattan Climbing to 20m; stem without sheaths lcm diam., with sheaths to 2cm; sheaths green with abundant papery brown spines and mostly obscured bynetted ocrea. Flagellum 1.5m. Leaf ecirrate, to 40cm, petiole absent or to lcm. Leaflets c. 35 on each side of the rachis, regularly arranged. Ants inside ocrea. Inflorescence to 2.5m; 6 partial inflorescences.
