| Field notes | Clustering palm. Stems to 4 m tall, ca. 4 cm diam., grey, green above, internodes ca. 3 cm. Crown og ca. 12 porrect leaves; sheaths partially open, green with scattered black scales; petiole 0.Leaf to 90 cm, with ca. 12 somewhat irregular dark green leaflets. inflorescences interfoliar, branched to 3 orders, green with much red brown tomentum.
