| Field notes | Solitary, moderate palm to 8m tall. Trunk brown, 25,cm d.b.h., ringed with scars ca. 5cm distant. Crown of ca. 20 strongly curved, dark green leaves; sheath ca.50cm, fibrous at the base; petiole dull green, ca. 40cm, covered with grey indumentum; leaflets ca. 50 on each side, dark green, very regular, arcuate, with inrolled edges. Inflorescences staminate, multiple, ca. 5 in each axil; bracts at least 6; common prophyll not collected (too deep within the axil); bracts adaxially yellow, grey abaxially. Flowers cream, scarcely fragrant |
