| Field notes | Clustering slender very high climbing rattan branching in the canopy. Stem without sheaths +/- 6 mm with to 1 cm. Internodes below to 40 cms, near flowering apex much shorter to 10 cms. Leaves on vegetative phase c 1.2 m long. Leaf sheath dull green covered with caduceus white scales and caduceus chocolate + rusty indumentum, ocrea slight, to 3 cms, fibrous only. Spines green, reflexed cirrus to 30 cms. Leaflets 5-6 on each side, whitish below. Infl. terminal 4 leaves from apex, 1st. infl. they empty, then 2 with full infl. flowers still young, green. Good rattan, much collected.
