| Field notes | Tree 25 m. Stipulate. Young twigs green pubescent. Leaves up to 50x20 cm, petiole and lower side of leaves pubescent especially along the mid-veins. Calyx pube- scent, calyx lobes in older flower purplish, in younger flowers calyx whitish-green. Branches hollow, inhabited by ants. |
