| Field notes | Small shrub 1 m. Flowers 0.5 cm, 5 petals, violet 5 stamens, anthers yellow. The fruit (berry) first red then turning black. Leaves undulate at margin. Younger leaves with brown stribe 1 cm along the mid vein. |
