| Field notes | Solitary. Above-ground stem very short (ca. 4 cm long), yellow-brown, with max. diameter is 3.6 cm. Leaves irregularly pinnate with 1-3 pinnae per side. The secondary veins protrude alternately above and below. there is ca. 0.2 cm between the secondary veins. Morphmetry of a mid-leaf: sheath ca. 10 cm long, petiole 42 cm long, rachis 50 cm long. The blade is 29.3 cm wide at apex of the rachis. Spicate inflorescence with the fertile part 19 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, the peduncle 40 cm long and the sheath ca. 10 cm long. var. mystica |
