| Field notes | Rhizome erect, up to 45 cm tall and 4 cm in diameter, both leaves and roots arranged spirally. Petiole with 0-2 large round nodes; if no nodes, then the lowermost pinna is solitary and very small. Petiole flattened adaxially, clearly less than half the length of the leaf. Lamina with 17-20 pinna pairs and a terminal bud. Leaves green (not whitish) beneath. |
