| Field notes | Adult plant that have red leaf sheets, rosa coloured midnerve in leave. Leaf lamina 90-100 cm. x 30 cm. 30-35 cm. from "stem" to leaf lamina. Uses: The shoot is eaten as a vegetable. The flower may be eaten as a vegetable, but is not very popular - people prefer to eat the flower from the cultivated Musa varieties. Name in Kelabit language: Ubud Lothe. |
