Young individual. Young plants with red patterns on the leaves and red leave sheets. Uses: The shoot is eaten as a vegetable, it has a bitter taste and is not popular according to my informant. The flower may be eaten as a vegetable, but is not very popular - people prefer to eat the flower from the cultivated Musa varieties. Name in Kelabit language: Ubud Lawan.
