Field notes Rhizomes and buds bright red to reddish orange. Underside of new leaves reddish. Rhizome with aromatic smell. Uses: The strongest and most effective Kaburo. Medicinal, against diareea and all sorts of stomach disorders, the rhizome is simply chewed or boiled and the water is drunk. If the rhizome is chewed before intake of alkohol - one will not get drunk. Name in Kelabit language: Kaburo Apad. Name in Malay: Jeringau Merah.
