| Field notes | Cultivated herb in wet areas. Uses: Medicinal, the rhizome is dried, pounded and mixed with water, the solution is drunk as antidote to snake bites and against diarrea. Magical, a necklace from dried pieces of rhizome scare away evil spirits - they do not like the smell. Name in Kelabit language: Kaburo. |
