| Field notes | On ridge in lightgab in secondary forest around Pa Dalih, Kelabit Highlands, 4th. division, Sarawak. Altitude: 1100 m. Uses: There are different oppinions about the quality of the fibre from this fern. The brownish black inside part of the old stems are used as fibre for various purposes like fishtraps, bangles and are often woven into baskets, hats etc. Name in Kelabit language: Mammang. |
