| Field notes | Tree some 8 m. tall. Uses: Poison, for "Tuba-fishing": The Leaves are pounded together with the tubers of Dioscorea piscatorum and Temasar (n.c.) in a bamboo container. The juice comes out through a hole in the bamboo and falls into the river where it stunnes the fish. Dioscorea piscatorum is the most poisonous part of the mixture. Name in Kelabit language: Tang Pait. |
