Field notes Small tree some 5 m. tall. Fruits are white-blackish-purplish. The petiole are sometimes rosa. Uses: The fruits are edible, but the Kelabits do not like to eat them. They know though that the Penan people are very fond of them. As fencing posts because they easily sprouts from cuttings stuck into the groung. Name in Kelabit language: Tulang Ai (by stream).
