| Field notes | Small tree 3 m. tall. The root has an aromatic smell of anis when crushed. Uses: Medicinal, against exhaustion and pains in the chest: The root is sliced and boiled and the tea is drunk. In combination with Kadsura scandens (H.C. 242 and H.C. 346) for treatment of stomach pains and to cause abortion. Name in Kelabit language: Gerung. |
