| Field notes | Ground herb. The rhizome smells very aromatic. Uses: Medicinal, the rhizome is used against snake bites. The latex from the rhizome is used in preparing dartpoison together with Antiaris toxicaria . Magical properties, the rhizome, hung at the entrance, will scare away evil spirits. Name in Kelabit language: Noleh. |
