| Field notes | Bright red inflorescenses, creme-white flowers. Aromatic smell from shoots and leaves. Uses: The shoots are edible. Medicinal for dogs: When the dog is ill and/or weak one inflorescence is added to a pot of boiling water, it is taken of the fire and after one hour is the inflorescence removed after being squeezed, the liquid in the pot is then drunk by the dog. Name in Kelabit language: Tubuh Berak Siah. |
