| Field notes | Tree some 8 m. tall. Cauliflori on the lower part of trunk, up till 2 m. from the ground. Numerous inflorescenses. Mature fruits are beige, 4-5 cm dia. Fruitflesh is whitish-creamish. Uses: Fruit edible, very sour - as spice. Medicinal, the shell of the fruit is eaten against diarrea. Name in Kelabit language: Buah Lapauh. |
