| Field notes | Tall bamboo around 15 m. Yellow type, beautiful yellow culm with green stibes. Uses: The shoot is edible. The culm is used to make various kind of small containers. Rice and other foods can be cooked inside the bammboo culm and the culms can be used for fences. The split culms can be used as wall material. The water inside the culms is drinkable. Name in Kelabit language: Buluh Barit. |
