| Field notes | Tree some 15 m. tall. Can grow to a 40 50 m. tall tree. The underbark is reddish brown sticky and easy to scrabe of. Uses: The sticky underbark is soaked in water and then smeared on various baskets etc. to harden the material so that they will last longer. The wood is good firewood. Name in Kelabit language: Ubarr Atey. |
