| Field notes | About 10 m tall bamboo, culms bending towards the top. Roots are coming out from the lower culm internodes. Culm internodes are up to 50 cm. long. Uses: The bamboo shoots are often eaten. The bedst bamboo for the making of fish traps. Good for flooring, the unsplit bamboo last around 7 months as outdoors floor on the ruai.
