| Field notes | Herb with white flower. Uses: Medicinal, as antidote for snake and scorbion bites etc.: The bitten area is kept in the smoke from the burning rhizomes as long as one can stand it. For medicine to cure sick chickens. For pesticide, burning of rhizomes in the field keeps insects away. For perfume, the rhizome is an ingrediens in several perfume mixtures. Name in Iban language: Kemuyang. sp. nov. |
