| Field notes | Woody liana. Uses: Medicinal, against lice, The liana is dried over the fire for long time, when it is to be used, a suitable piece is pounded and rubbed into the hair, after 10 minuttes the hair is washed and cleaned. Religious, at sowingtime is the padi sprinkled with soap water from akar Pakar accomplished by a silent prayer for the padi to be clean without insects, without diseases. At Gawai the small pigs meant for offering are washed with soap water from akar Pakar mixed with "Ai Pau" (Kepayang seeds dried for many days, then pounded and mixed with water) before slaugtered.
