Field notes collection from some 5 m. tall sapling. The tree can reach canopy height, more than 1m. dbh. Strong terpen smell from cut wood. Young shoots are reddish. Leaves may reach more than a m. in length. Uses: Bark for walls. Wood for firewood. The heartwood for posts in the house. Magic, The big trees were believed sometimes to house evil spirits. Name in Kelabit language: Young trees are called Labuno Baraok, mature trees are called Lind.
