Field notes Tree some 30 m. tall. Grey slightly furrowed bark with circular scars for every 10 cm. Bark smells a little acidic. Some mucilageous exudate from the cut wood. Uses: Bark is used for making walls, cannot stand rain. The wood is good for Sapè (a guitar like music instrument). Timber tree, planks - only in dry areas. Name in Kelabit language: Aou.
