| Field notes | Tree some 40 m. tall with red sticky innerbark. Uses: For hardening and colouring of fishing nets made from natural fibers, fishtraps and plaited baskets etc. The pounded innerbark is stirred in water, the net is soaked in it or the paste is applied to the basket etc. Wood is good for firewood. Name in Iban language: Ubah Samak. |
