Field notes Small palm 5-6 m. tall trunk without leaves and an additional 2 m. trunk with leaves. Leaves are about 1.5-2 m. long with 16-18 pair of leaflets. The uppermost segments under the leaves carry inflorescences. Uses: Stimulant, the fruits can be eaten like betel nut, but is rarely done. The leaves are good roofing material for jungle shelter. Name in Iban language: Pinang Moring.
