| Field notes | Typical ginger 3-4 m. tall with up to 15 leaves on one stem. The inside of the rhizome is bright yellow. There is a distinct 1 mm. red edge on young leaves. Very young leaves have a pale reddish appearence Uses: Edible shoot. Edible fruit. Name in Iban language: Ketimbang Mansau. |
