Field notes Orange-yellowish rhizome. Uses: Religious, the rhizome is cut into pieces, mixed with padi and thrown after visitors at Gawai, this will "make them have a good heart". The leaves may also be used as support for the pig liver during ceremonies. Dyeplant, used in mordembath and is mixed with Morinda citrifolia to obtain a richer red color. Name in Iban language: Entemu Bugau.
