| Field notes | Woody liana. Ripe fruits are red. Uses: Young leaves are edible. The nut is edible after soaking overnight in water and boiled for one hour otherwise the taste is not good. The fibres are strong and good for making fishtraps and for twining of fine strings for sowing. Name in Iban language: Akar Tengang. |
