| Field notes | Rattan with a volatile smell of lemon from cut and crushed parts of the plant. Around 25-30 cm. between the internodes. 6 pair of leaflets in groups of 2 with 15-20 cm. between the groups. The hook is more than 3 m. Uses: High quality fibre for plaiting of baskets and mats. The shoots and fruits are edible. Name in Iban language: Wee Lemba Madu. |
