| Field notes | Herb 2.5 m. Leaves deep green above; semi-shiny deep grey-green below. Pulvinus dark olive green, petole and sheath green. Bracts brown, dilacerating into fibers. Ovary cream, tomentose. Sepals light yellow-orange, rest of flower yellow-orange. Capsule brownish orange, seeds bright blue with white aril. |
