| Field notes | Single-stemmed, to 10 ft. high, 1 1/2 in. diameter, closely bright-green ren ed. Spadices below leaves, one per node, orange with blue-green fruit when immature, rachillae 3-4 mm diam. when fresh, fleshy, much reduced in drying. Leaves 5-6 in spreading crown, the pinnae spreading, strongly veined. Scarcely distinguishable from C. tepejilote as seen in Mexico. Furit obovoid, 13 mm long., 10 mm thick. |
