| Field notes | Common, slender, single-stemmed palm on steep, shaded slopes above river. Leaves spreading few, terminal with many glossy leaflets like oblongata but generally narrower and lighter green. Male spadices erect below leaves orange with green imature fruit. Close to river with more exposed location plants are much stouter with very long erect spadices and broad leaflets much more like oblongata but more numerous. |
