| Field notes | Stems solitary with short brown adventitous roots, 40 ft high, 5 - 6 in. D. B. H. becoming slender above to a green crownshaft 4 ft long. Leaves ca. 10, spreading in a graceful coma, the pinnae hanging, ca. 77 per side, the petiole ca. 14 in long, rachis 10 1/2 ft. Leaves deep green. Spadices 2, infrafoliar, erect-spreading, rachillae on all sides at tip, few upper side, all straight and spreading, spadix whitish in fruit, the fruit green (immature) globose with plane endosperm. |
